let's talk about nothing here, shall we?

Do you ever feel like a pot simmering on low? Like you would like yourself to be cooked to perfection, but you're in no hurry and are maybe even a little apathetic about it? No? I don't know what I was trying to say either. I only took this picture, because about two minutes previously I had been warming my hands over that burner in my freezing apartment. I miss central heating.

This picture was taken after a breakfast with these lovely ladies (and a few others who hightailed it before I remembered I'd brought my camera). Also, while looking at this picture I am remembering why I don't wear this shirt often. I look pregnant and arm fattish. Attractive.

Anyway, these were some of the last photos I snapped before my camera battery died and I realized that my camera battery charger was MIA. And just before my family and I were about to be all together for Nate's farewell-ness. Horrors.

But let's move on to happier things.

For one, Bruce found the charger in a random suitcase the other night. One weekend too late, but I always knew there was a reason why I married him.

Secondly, I launched BodyBalance today with Edgar after a late night choreography cram session (as per usual - I work better under pressure). I am surrounded by guy instructors. Have I told you this? Sometimes I really miss my girls and our mutual desire for matching, sparkly tops. Por ejemplo...

This on top of learning to cue choreography in Spanish has made the teaching experience here in Mexico vastly different. Edgar laughed at my Spanish today as I was previewing a new yoga move: El Scorpion. I just turned to him and said, "You try teaching this class in English, dude!" And also, why don't these guys want to wear matching tops?? Or put out balloons and have raffles for a huge launch party?? I need a girlie girlfriend or flamboyant gay friend here to back me up. If they only understood the awesomeness of it all...

Thirdly, the kids were in bed by 7:08 p.m. tonight. This is a record for me. Usually, they are doing this to each at 7:43.

Fourthly, during B's soccer practice today, I rediscovered Cheetos. I generally stay away from Cheetos and like-minded snack foods. But I love Cheetos. I heart Cheetos. I want to marry Cheetos. The way they are perfectly puffy and full of air and so cheesy with that faux powdered cheese. Me los encantan! I might dream about that partially-hydrogenated oil snack tonight. This is why I don't stock them in my pantry. The obsession is fierce.

And I am sure I have multiple other tidbits of randomness to share with you, dearest blog readers, but I shan't bore you any longer with my long-winded musings. Buenas noches.

hey... if there was any question of "arm fattishness" in the first picture (which there wasn't) you totally redeemed yourself in the second! You lookin' good girl..that El scorpion move (what the?) must be working out for ya.
also.. i was totally following you on the whole simmering pot thing...wanted to see where you were going with that. thought maybe you would validate some of my own pathetic feelings as of late. more on that later? lol
