m's birthday bash

Now. Don't judge. But we are shamefully low-key and laissez-faire around here. If this offends your uber-awesome-out-the-shizam-party-planning sensibilities, I beg you: proceed no further.

No candles but this one in the house. M would be turning 6 this year.

Really? One lame cupcake, an even lamer candle, and no friends?

Photobucket

Okay, if this is how they want to ensure I end up a needy, attention-seeking teenage girl with low self-esteem...

Photobucket

Don't tell me you don't wanna stick your hand in that tub of sprinkles. Aud, Dani, three cheers for Amelie, no?

And how about another three cheers for Bruce's (Pete's) PC shirt and striped pajama pants. I love Bruce in striped pajama pants.

Don't hold back now, M. Get excited, girlfriend.

And I had to include the following three pics to give you the visual sequence of thrilled emotion upon receiving the aptly named "Baby."

It was a good night. We love our M.

She's precious! I love her excitement over the baby doll.

Zach just saw the picture of M crying in the post below and said "that looks just like Aubrey" in that she makes that EXACT same face when she cries - which is way too much!

Completely cracking up at M's candle! Very cute picks of her moment with the cupcake.

I don't get Bruce's t-shirt...I'll have to think about it for a few days I guess since I have pregnancy brain. If you hear me cracking up at church you'll know I finally got it.

I'm with you on the low-key b-day thing. I dread planning the b-days. At least you did it right and started the expectations off low. I used to be better and now they tend to expect it. I'm trying to do a little less each year and see if they notice. It seems the most important thing is to have streamers. I love her face when she looks into the baby's eye. And her realtionship with her brothers reminds me so much of my boys and Claire. I love it.
And BTW I love your taste in music.

Happy Birthday M! I need to take a lesson from you in the low key department. Brady is going to be 3 this week and I'm going to try and attempt to make a Thomas the Train cake?! Why do i do this to myself?

Happy Birthday! I love the pictures. I say go low key, make it up to her when she's 13, and cares.

Man, she is cute! Love the baby doll pictures. It makes me want pink in my testosterone filled house. Love Bruce's pj's too. Josh puts his on as soon as he gets in the door. Maybe I will have to do a post dedicated to his black and white fleece leopard print pajama pants! Happy Birthday little girl. We love you too!

oh noelle, this cracks me up. i love your little family...seeing you all chillin' around in your PJ's makes me miss you. maybe it reminds me of living together, who knows (i dig the stripped PJ pants too bruce;) ahhh...i hope that someday over the rainbow we get to see each other again so i can squeeze your little asian babies. M is so cute, and don't worry no permanent damage until she's 11...that's what i've been told anyway. lol.

For her sixth birthday, are you going to do a cake with a 1?or are you going to fast forward aNOTHer couple years, to like 10, 12? :)

I think M is ready for a real baby sister.

I like it when Andy and Bruce wear those pj pants too. Feels like, ah yes, they fit our family :)
