freeze

Sometimes I wish I could freeze moments and save them for later. To be enjoyed over and over again like an ice pack when things get twisted and raw and need a little soothing. Like my babies' hugs. Or the feel of their newborn skin on my cheek. Or the sorrowful way they say, "Sorry, Mama," and the adoring way they say, "I love you."

Today I want to remember...

... that L wore this hat and ate oatmeal every day after school for a week straight...

Photobucket

... that M harbors a preference for animals in all her books, movies and playthings...

Photobucket

... and B's look of intensity at six years old when questioning me about life, death, heaven, hell, eternity, Jesus, and where babies come from.

Photobucket

Absolutely ice-pack-worthy.
