"she perceiveth..."

The other night I was reading this, which made me open this:

I love these verses. I want so much for these verses to be me. But they are not. So far from. It's overwhelming. So overwhelming, in fact, that I felt the need to go lie down in my dark bedroom after reading them. The bathroom light was still on, however, so I automatically turned toward the light while lying on my bed and stared at the bathroom toilet for a good hour.

Thoughts consumed me as I stared at the pristine porcelain. Loving thoughts, fearful thoughts, confused thoughts, questioning thoughts, meditative thoughts, frustrated thoughts, happy thoughts, peaceful thoughts, enlightened thoughts. Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts... stoking the fire within me. A desire for change. Because there are too many parts of my life right now that are check-marked with needs improvement and the ever-average satisfactory. So I came to a few conclusions that I just might share with you sometime (goal-setting may or may not be involved). But the most relevant?

Only crazy people get inspired while staring at a toilet for an hour.

It's about 3:30 AM so what I got out of those scriptures is that she bringeth food from afar...I understood that to mean take out food. You can do that part! It's awesome to feel so contemplative and looking at art is one way to do it. That's a good looking toilet. Have you seen Duchamp's classic modern art piece featuring a toilet?

But I know you will do great and good things. You are Sarah Noelle Elizan Bryant On, the Eldest.

I couldn't remember and I no longer have your birth certificate to check this morning. I thought I did something different with the spelling but that was so long ago.

Change? Just thinking about change makes me want to jump into your prestine toilet. I'm exhausted thinking about change. But I do think that you and Kauti and Esther are fabulous examples of Proverbs 31:10 ... maybe Bruce should buy you some rubies for a change.
