But this?

No, no, no, no, no! Just looking at that machine makes me wanna hurl. Scream. Shout. Yell profanities. And yet I have no problem doing squats in front of 30+ people with a mirror at my back... it's complicated.
But since my arrival in Mexico, my teaching schedule has been considerably sparser. It's mostly just me and the cardio machines these days, and sadly, my 'healthy' appetite hasn't adjusted. My caloric intake far exceeds the caloric burn. After birthing three babes and entering my 30th year of life, the imbalance is catching up to me and I feel the constant need to suck it in. You guys know what I'm talking about? (If you say no, it's over between us.)
It's exhausting. Truly exhausting.

I'd even consider going under the knife for a little lipo, nip and tuck but I've heard things... like the returning of things in unnatural places... things that would make Bruce say, "Dude, I did not sign up for this."
Have you heard things? TMI? Anyway, I'm left to bite the bullet, get on that stupid machine and cut the nutella. Dadgum it. Life sucks.

Speaking of... obviously.

Why is such a gorgeous gym empty? Move your hips not your lips!
oh, hello, mom. :) nice of you to drop by. the gorgeous gym of our apartment complex is empty because i went and worked out at 9:15pm last night. hard to get motivated, you see.
and "move your hips, not your lips"? did papa tell you to write that? words that were emblazoned on my innocent psyche. pa, we had some good runs, you and i.
"Move your hips not your lips"....sounds like something my dad would say.
Noooo! Not the nutella!
mmm...I just had a nutella filled crepe myself! That stuff is bad news. Ugh...I can't keep in shape unless I go to really good classes. A gym and no teacher is useless to me. And by the way, you look great, esp. for having 3 kids.
What the heck? you look great!
I'm totally feelin' ya on the gym thing. I hate working out with weights and all that junk. Something about the classes though get me pumped and I start competing with the people around me. It's like my motivation. A machine has yet to motivate me!
And you sis-in-law...it's just not fair. If I could just look that all the time I would be happy.
tell me about it. i loathe it too..way more than you trust me. i recently however started my (yearly) "panic-it's almost-bathing-suit-weather" work-out program, and what i'm slowly beginning to realize is that... it's hopeless....the lovely toned and fit body of my pre-baby days is just never, never, NEVER coming back. as for the sucking in thing, i pretty much have been sucking in the majority of my twenties...a whole decade!!! it's become completely natural to me, in fact, i think my organs have just readjusted to life chronically sucked in. you're right---life sucks..IN! lol. love ya
PS. get a life, you look great!!
you can't talk. you've always been in shape--you have papa's lungs and endurance, and can even beat bruce up, i bet, with those "body pump" guns. (and he knows it too.)
and aren't you at least going to miss that gym when you move : ) ?? i am. will your new place have an on-site gym?
p.s. i like imagining you taking pix in an empty gym. haha. i hope the lady wasn't at the desk, or she was probably like ??
p.p.s. move your hips, not your lips. that's one of the MOST papa-y phrases of all his quotables : )
that and "just do it."
I think you look great!! I never would have guessed you didn't like working out, but I do believe treadmills make anyone not motivated to work out. But I'm with you, it has to be done.
I hope you guys are staying away from the swine flu!
I'm so excited you are coming in July. We will definately be around.
are you moving? hello???
i don't know what you're talking about--you look great, no nip/tuck necessary!!! crazy girl.
will call soon....i am in a funk and caught the kids cold....grrr....but i am sure will be feeling better soon :)
