I just have two words for you: bra shopping.
Once upon a time I could just slip one on. Now it's more like scoop, twist and shove... I apologize for the intimate details, but I think it's important to be frank about these sorts of things so others are not completely caught off guard when, after three babies, their bodies begin to assume the stretchable properties of flesh-colored taffy versus moist yellow cake that bounces back. Welcome to the real world, people. It's not pretty and neither are my breasts these days.
(Here's to hoping that my blog maintains an all-female readership.)
Fellow female bloggers and perky-looking friends, what is YOUR favorite bra?

hey, i know the feeling, i went from a C to an A after i breastfed maddie. not the same problem but equally as depressing trust me! It's a shame it takes being full of milk to look good again...ahhhhh. anyway...as far as bras go, i where the same one everyday of my existence ... "Body by Victoria," it's nothing to look at, but you can't even tell you're wearing it. hope you're well chic. i remain miserable...still no baby and three days late!!!!! i mean seriously, what in the world did i do to deserve this kind of suffering. lol. love ya
I feel your pain! I think you adequately describe my situation...as well as the thoughts of most women. Let me know which bra "wins" and I'll run out and buy it!
Funny post! Those of us in the "A" club don't really have any advice, no scooping here, yet...(knock on wood) Derek and I hope you have a great easter. I forgot to tell you that Sandy, Mike, and Drew Steele say hello.
I'm with Ceri.... I'm not even a nearly A, so I've no advice to give. Just be glad you EVER had good-looking breasts! I guess the only compensation for being as flat as my husband is that I'll never have to worry about sagging....???? No, that's not really compensation enough!
i can hardly talk about that area of the body right now...
breastfeeding is definitely not the glorious side of having a new baby : ) when you used to describe it as "sucking the life outta you," you nailed it on the dot. physically, emotionally, "fashion"-ably, in-the-middle-of-the-night-ly, etc etc...
however, i DO love my bravado design nursing bras and tanks for this phase of my life. they are WONDERFUL.
yay for boobs.
oh and ps. nice descriptions. NOT. taffy?? yellow cake??? i LOVE yellow cake--don't taint my love!
and you just had to use the word moist... mm.
I'm there...what happens after your 4th? Can they get any worse? Yes. I'm sure. I've actually found a cheap one from Target that I like, and one from GapBody as well. I now need underwire AND padding...to give some semblance of roundness. Bathing suit season, not fun...
I guess I'm lucky because I never had any boobs to begin with so I don't really know what I'm missing out on. That part of growing up just skipped me and that part of having a baby and nursing skipped me too. Everyone told me they would grow, but to my disappointment- they were wrong:-( And to my surprise, it is possible to nurse with a flat chest. Too bad I'm anti- plastic surgery! Good Luck with the Bra search. Give Victoria's Secret "Very Sexy" Bra a try- it's expensive, but definitely worth it.
I don't care how many comments you leave on my blog silly!! What I want to know is How in the World did you remember my birthday??? It must have been our unforgettable six flags trip;-) Oh my gosh!! You have to let me know when yours is.
Sing it sister! I love this post. Possibly one of the best posts I've ever read. I'm feeling you though and I just have two. Yikes. What's going to happen with my third? I have a great one from VS, but I just went to target and bought three that work well too. So we are coming to look for houses in May!
i LOVE this post!!! HEHEH...The worst thing that happens to these delicate extremities is breastfeeding! I'll all for getting them fixed later if needed.
I was just looking at my disgusting old bras and thinking I needed a new one too. Yeah, nursing too kids a year/ each was not good for me either. It is so sad. I wish their was a button just to pump up the girls. Boob job is not looking so bad right now!!! Maybe we could all get one together. Mommy makeover anyone?
