karaoke

Forgot to publish this post before we left...

We karaoke-ed (is that a word?) down in Koreantown 'til the wee hours of the morning last night. No pics 'cause I left my camera behind. Blast. But just know there were some stellar performances last night. Including my brother Nate gracing us all with the privilege of witnessing him ripping it up and break dancing during a performance of Conga. I knew he was dying to do that all night long. Rock on Miami Sound Machine. $200 pesos (equivalent to about $15 USD) to rent a room up in this ghetto place. Red vinyl couches and light-up tambourines made the night extra special. All organized by the one and only Emron, of course. Here's my shout-out to you. Now that I know you read my blog. And also, why are you taking Annie away from me? I'm heartbroken.

But these pics were taken a different night. A late night. I barely remember this night. We were drunk on the adrenaline rush from Terminator Salvation and the excess intake of tacos al pastor. That's all the excuse I have for the noob-ish pics.

We're headed to the beach tomorrow. Not looking forward to the drive. And sincerely hoping there is not a repeat of this. But super excited to bask in the glorious God-given energy source of Mother Earth and breathe in that salty Pacific air. Life is good.
