this never happens

Generally speaking, M is president of the anti-L club and vice versa, but every once in a while a white flag is raised and miracles do happen.

L decided he wanted to be the one to read to M last night and M allowed it. Miraculous.

"Uh, Mom? I don't like this book. It's too scary."

Something about Dr. Suess scares me a bit, too, buddy. All the Snoos and Hakken-Kraks and forcing of others to eat green eggs and ham.

The Little Engine That Could is more his speed. So many opportunities for sound effects - his forte.

A rare display of affection from M as she wraps her skinny, brown arm around her brother.

There really is a little love for one other in these two baby hearts.

Why do I love baby feet! Gets me everytime! I understand more and more everyday why our parents hated it when we fought.

M is a real beauty with the attitude to break hearts, just like her mother.

my kids are the same way. i pray daily to know ways that i can cultivate more of a loving relationship between my kids. it's horrible. i think often of something you're mother said about "you guys taking care of each other like a litter of puppies" (i know i'm TOTALLY butchering that) but i think..."yeah, so do mine...LIKE A BUNCH OF STINKIN' DOBERMAN'S." anyway, we too have those rare occasions of love..it's a least good to know that it's deep down in there somewhere huh? smooches.
