not for the claustrophobic

My weekend frivolity post never included any pics. Here are a few from the craaaaaazy open house. It'll be a while before I do this again...

Photobucket

A few kids found a space in the hallway to chow down.

Photobucket

Potluck. As in, test your luck with the hodge podge of dishes people bring.

Photobucket

I tried to keep the kids in the back rooms where all the toys were, but it just wasn't happening.

Photobucket

Alethea and her hilarious stories. I already miss her.

Photobucket

Photobucket

I love when Bruce laughs at his own jokes.

Photobucket

This family was worth the craziness. Good people warm my heart.

Photobucket

Oh, yes. Love this little family, too.

Photobucket

Love and friendship. Who could ask for anything more? Wait... there's a song about this... ah. Too tired to look for it. Maybe tomorrow.

"The sun has gone to bed
And so must I.
So long, farewell,
Auf Weidersehen, goodbye..."

Sounds like it was definitely a crazy weekend (I got tired just reading your post!), but worth it!

makes me miss your place. AND that last shot of the fam. haven't seen a full shot like that in a while. everyone doing their own facial expression thing. so funny. that's why annual family portraits are so important--they're so telling, no?

and you're crazy. can't believe you said yes to this open house. what did mom tell us about being yes-people??!! : ) jk. i probably would have caved too and found myself either volunteering or accepting to have something like that at my place. the papa in us, for sure.

How about the mama in you, for sure! Potluck is the way to go, even with just a few families. It's not so inimidating. Love my beautiful kids.

You guys have such a great family. Your kids are getting so big. Are they coming with you in July or are you coming by yourself?
