signs

Bruce is in Brazil, the kids went to bed at 7:30... I had 12 minutes and 13 seconds. If you have 12 minutes and 13 seconds, do enjoy the following short film.

I like that his name is Jason. :)

the barracuda diner

After two weeks trapped in obligatory house arrest, Saturday's excursion felt awesome. We found ourselves at The Barracuda Diner. Very fun with lots of mirrors, checkered tables and VH1 90s rock 'n roll on the telly. Another plus: totally empty.

Even better.

And don't ask me why L poses like that. I don't know, people. I don't know. Yesterday he was yelling "transformase, autobots!" (spanish accent included) and making transformer robot noises during Sacrament meeting with all kinds of spittle on the family behind us. He's a different cat.

These guys are so freakin' spoiled. We never got to eat like this when I was growing up. My parents always ordered us water and we'd share tiny bits of hamburger. If we even went out to eat. Forget about the fries. I didn't even know what a frosty at Wendy's was 'til I was like 16.

I mean, look at that hamburger. Ridiculous.

Never leave home without it. Especialmente en Meh-hee-co.

two years, two months: life for m

We're gradually outgrowing the Bruce Lee hairstyle. (Coincidentally, she's actually eating cheese whilst saying "cheese" here.)

Photobucket

We're also outgrowing our clothes.

Photobucket

But we're still getting beat up by our brothers.

Photobucket

We're still emotional.

Photobucket

And we're still obsessive movie-watchers. Nobody's perfect.

Photobucket

Hello. Blink already. Totally unaware of the camera 8 inches from their faces. They're like an old, married couple that starts to look the same after a while. Though I have to admit, Bob the Builder is intense entertainment. That clay animation stuff gets me every time.

supergirl

Before putting the kids down for bed tonight, I changed into workout clothes and shimmied into my Supergirl tank.

Photobucket

Pretty awesome, huh? It's pink and sparkly. Dig it.

Then I walked out and did a little cartwheel/roundhouse combo for the kids. "Wow, Mom!" said L. "You are Supergirl!"

Photobucket

Yeah, L-man. Believe it, buddy.

I wonder how much longer I can get away with stuff like this before it becomes horrifying to them.

And how weird and awkward is it that I just took a couple pictures of my unmentionables to post up here? Not to mention that this is my second post in one week involving body shots. Blogging makes you do crazy things, people. But lest you get the wrong idea when it comes to plastering my parts across the world wide web, let's revisit this post and keep it real.

BTW, all you Supergirls/Supermoms... that cartwheel was for you. Heart to heart. xoxo.
