Ohhh, I can't help myself. I read her novels at least once a year. I'm a sucker for happy endings, witty humor, and clever observations on the superficiality of humanity. As an added indulgence, usually every book-reading is accompanied by the movie version. Two versions in the case of Pride and Prejudice. Though I'm not a general Keira Knightley fan, there were plenty of heart-stopping moments in the 2nd version to keep me coming back for more. But my overall favorite is definitely Emma, book version and Gwyneth Paltrow movie version. I heart Mr. Knightley. Someday I can't wait to ask Ms. Austen how much of her self and circumstances are in her books... might be the funnest girl talk ever.
According to this inconsequential quiz:
Who are you? And who's your favorite Jane Austen heroine?

i was a marian dashwood. however, i don't have a beautiful singing voice!
Love that first picture of you! And I'm embarrassed to admit I have never read any of her books (or seen any of the movies) -- unbelievable, I know! But now that I have recetly re-discovered my reading side, I plan to. I also am a sucker for happy endings. So would Emma be the best one to start with, then?
I have enjoyed reading Shannon Hale's books and she has one called "Austenland" that I have been holding out on, because I'm telling myself I should probably have read some of Jane Austen's stuff first to understand all the references. :-)
OK, you are probably going to scream in horror....but I have never read those books! I watched half of Pride & Prejudice and never finished it.... I should give those books a shot, I am sure they are good reads :)
Surpise...I'm Elanor Dashwood...sensible with some deep emotions people don't always see. I'm what you would call "still waters." You're totally Elizabeth.
