But more than a desire to be Halo-free, I knew what kind of obsessive genes accompanied me when I came into this world. (Flashback to the mid-80s where I spent innumerable hours at my friend Nelson's house, renewing a fanatical kinship with Mario and Luigi day after light-less day. Mom, did you know?)
Then one early Spring afternoon, Rockband entered my world (thank you, Matt and Brooke) and everything went topsy-turvy. What? We can start a band? They'll give us a JET? AND we can earn groupies?? And a strange sort of conversion happened while all my virtual dreams were coming true.
So while we left Mexico empty-handed this Christmas, we returned weighed down with hours of two-dimensional possibilities.
Am I the only one frightened by this last picture? We've officially (and expensively) joined the dark world of video-gaming. What will become of us? Next thing you know, I'll have carpel tunnel and my email address will have changed to thebloodyknight245@gmail.com.

this is too funny cause i was just getting ready to post like the EXACT same blog i sware. brent took pics of me the ohter night with the most constipated look you've ever seen trying to master the easiest level of guitar hero. it's pathetic but we live to put the kids to bed so we can play. brent got me the WII fit for Christmas. you were brave getting dance dance revolution...maybe i'm just the most uncoordinated person on earth, but i can't see how anybody can do that. stay tuned for my blog later.
oh NOELLE. we could've been so great together with this. axe in hand, shredding all day long, neglecting the children. this is so embarrassing: i totally got carpal tunnel from guitar hero. i was convinced it was because fox is a thick kid until one day someone asked me, "don't you play a lot of video games?" uh... no.
I felt the same way about video games. and we only had a vintage super nintendo with three games. but when we played at a friends house I just loved it. Rock band is next on my wish list. Do you like 1 or 2 better? (also, the Wii is good leverage. when game time gets out of hand I make them start earning minutes by doing chores around the house, it's great)
You seriously crack me up! I love knowing you. And no, the last picture of little L doesn't crack me up. We have that exact picture of Zach, only half Luke's age. We are much darker than you my friend! Thanks for all you do for us!
I agree with you with wanting to be Halo free!! We do have the Wii and Guitar Hero. It is so addictive. Rock band is next step!
Hey Noelle, it's Lara. Found your blog thru April's and just wanted to stop and say hello. Your family is looking as cute as ever. Just wait til your kids know AC/DC and Linkin Park. Sad part is, my boys walk around the house singing the "guitar" part of the song when they don't know certain lyrics. Lots of "duh duh duh duh."
P.S. I hear you on the pink. 2 girls is plenty and Leah is waaaay girly than I could ever be.
It looks like everyone is having a fabulously fun time!
all i can say is SUCKERS LOL (okay i will admit if bruce and u where still here my time on the Wii would be bigger cuz there is nothing like a little ON competition).. dude my Wii sits setup and unplugged.... lol i seriously really havent played it since u guys left, hmmm 7 month ago, but i have to admit some of my other addictions i have shared with u and bruce are still going strong... DID you see the last SMALLVILLE - so good!!!!!
what more can i say than i'm right there with ya on the wii. however, i have yet to have the pleasure of playing guitar hero. what?? i know, it's true. music not exactly jarom's forte so that was passed by. but i see you've also invested in DDR. i'm feeling the envy in my stomach. it's a need. i will no longer need children! mariokart's pretty addicting too!
we LOVE our wii! :) wii fit is awesome...and guitar hero...well, it's just addicting! :)
i think i'm the only person left in the USA who hasn't played the wii and doesn't have a blog. BUT as for addictions... well, we all have our little something, no??
