We were snacking across from this dirty little pond. When B finished his doughnut, I asked him to wipe his hands on a wet one. His response: "Why can't I just rinse my hands off in that dirty water?" What's wrong with this kid, seriously.
One of my favorite things about living here in Mexico are the mercados. Love these things. Best place to buy fresh produce and cheese. The vendors are always calling you pet names: "Hola, línda!" which is like, "Hi, pretty girl," to get you to come over. They sell pirated movies here for about 20 pesos (about $2 USD). The movie vendors know Bruce by name. Pete, you'll be happy to know we found Smallville Season 7 here for 120 pesos ($12 USD). We're losing some serious shut-eye. Wish you were here to marathon it with us.

For $5 you can rent 15 minutes of ride time on one of these puppies. This was definitely the highlight of the afternoon por los niños, and M got to ride shotgun with B.
On Monday we headed out to the Xochicalco Pyramids outside of Cuernavaca. The pyramids aren't as large as Teotihuhacán, but definitely less crowded and there were no vendors trying to sell their "hecho in america" trinkets. We hired this tour guide who pretty much lost the kids at "hola." He had a knack for telling long-winded and incomprehensible stories in his broken english. Not sure the dude was worth the 250 pesos, but hey. It's a job for this guy.

as for the dirty water... i hope you don't get numb to good hygiene over the next couple years. "hygiene shmygiene." do you have anti-bac?? i know they're all saying that kids these days have so many allergies bc they're kept too clean nowadays, but still. gross is just gross. germs are germs. stock up on the good smelling anti!!
i feel organic too when i come home with cloth bags filled with groceries : ) or farmer's market finds. mmm. i like your red bag too : ) i can't wait to hear you point out the veggies in spanish. your cute little accent.

i wish blu had an older brother like bryson. tell bryson he's going to have to take as good care of belén as he does makenna. poor belén may not have anyone else to look up to as an older bro, let alone any other siblings : ) ha.
does this purple-creeping-ness in your pictures mean you get to buy a new camera!!!!!!!!!!!! yayyyyy!!!! get a super good one. i kinda wish we had a reason to get a new cam. dani got one. i've been looking for a sweet camera strap for her.... let me know if you see any cool ones.

I love all the pics of the kids--looks like you guys are officially settled in and taking in all the culture! I'm going to have to start working on those passports....
so cyndi says that i need to go to mexico to buy my movies.. :) ya smallville ROCKS!!! totally watched the whole season already... (i bought it when cyndi was in idaho... sshhhhh...ya i got in a little trouble but smallville is way worth it!!!)
