on the verge

Next time you're in Salt Lake City, definitely make a stop at Naked Fish. Really good sushi and they make their own wasabi. It's legit.

I got another email from those cursed St. George organizer people: We have approximately 3 days and 13 hours until the Start of the St. George Marathon... These guys are messing with my head. The emotional prep for this thing is killing me. I am hanging by a thread.

And on top of this pending 26.2 mile run, we've been launching new music and choreography at the gyms the past two weeks, so my brain is imploding. Also, I'm trying to ignore the rough, scratchy soreness that's been building in the back of my throat the past few days. Now is not a good time for strep throat.

Last but not least, EZ is officially weaned as of 8:30 p.m. Saturday night. I've been heartbroken for three days now. Which is nutzo, because I've always kind of hated breastfeeding and the burden of being attached at the... something that rhymes with "bit." Though miraculously, I never had any problems with breastfeeding (no thrush, no infections, no mastitis, no latching issues... nothing ever). And I nursed each of my four babies for a year. But when I gave EZ his very last feeding forever and ever, my heart was so sad. It felt like the end of an era. And then my friend, Kathryn, told me to google "design mom weaning june" and it was almost creepy. Her words were my words. So go read her words.

Anyway, this fragile, loose cannon is going to do her best to keep it together a few more days, but nobody hold their breath.

i'm totally emotional reading this. first of all, i can't believe you're running a marathon. how did that happen? you're amazing...and...an inspiration. second, i hate that sisters live far away from sisters (sniff, sniff). and third...i've cried like a baby weaning every single one of my children. and now that i'm likely on my last baby, you've sadly just reminded me of the finality of what's to come. depressing post;)
ps. i can't wait to hear how it went and see lots and lots of pictures. we're rooting for ya. much love.
