I would never have thought about buying M these red boots (much less walked into a Gymboree) if it wasn't for Auntie Kauti. "You're not gonna find a great deal like this very often," she said to me and so they were bought. Just like that. And M's reaction was just as I knew it would be: pure unadulterated joy.
And here is a picture of my cute niece, Lorelei:
She loves dinosaurs and telling stories to herself and roaring at the air. This girl is my speed. I'll take her. So Kauti, we'll just have to do a little switch every summer, yes?
And since we're on the subject of fashionistas, here is a perfect example of what kind of fashion sense I bring to the table:
Sadly, Kauti had to walk around with me for half a day in this shirt that no self-respecting 31-year-old woman should be caught dead in. But in my defense, Baby Owen was sleeping in my walk-in closet when it was time to shower and head out and I only had pj-type clothes available. Of course, Kauti would never even own such a shirt, but I'm sure she is secretly dying to have one (Christmas!).

I love those boots! The thing is she can rock them cause she's got the confidence and attitude to do it! If I wore them I'd look like "I was trying" ya know??? Is it sad that I should probably take lessons from her? Love it!

the thing is noelle you're naturally very beautiful, and when you're naturally beautiful you don't have to try so hard to be fashionable. it's true. people never get past your pretty face:)

Can I just say I knew the red boots were a good call--they're almost sold-out online, there's only a couple random sizes left! And she's totally "pulling them off!" (himym) love it.
I am going to steal that toothy dino-roar pic of L. I laughed so hard when I saw it. She is the funniest, most random child--I often wonder how she came to be....
And I love that M is all about the fashion. I will absolutely take her in the summers for a grand shopping trip!!! And L and your L can be 2 peas in a pod....
