so tired

It's amazing how much crap you collect in a few years. Then again, it is possible to find a few gems in all the garbage (like the picture above - taken on our wedding day 10 1/2 years ago). And those little treasures just remind you what a gift it is to live a life worth remembering.

So we gave the landlady the keys to our apartment yesterday. Bittersweet. Bitter, because lots of good things have happened to us while this place was our home, and sweet, because we can stop living in a Bin Laden-esque compound. I'm excited to own some grass.

Speaking of said grass... hi, all you Texas friends! Can't wait to see you again! And I was going to type something just now about calling before you come over so I'm not nekked and unconscious from the heat when you show up, but it started to sound like an invitation to all the pervs out there. So nevermind.

And in my earlier post I said cardboard makes me nervous, but I lied. Cardboard does not make me nervous; it makes me nauseous. Cardboard makes me nauseous. This packing and unpacking thing is for the birds. And can we talk for a second about how much junk food my body has consumed in the past week? Too bad I've only just remembered I've gotta hoist myself into a bathing suit next week. Yay.

Also, let's give Bruce a little love on here. Without him, I would still be sitting around all overwhelmed about an international move and eating my feelings. Thanks for being so awesome, babe. You're the wind beneath my wings and the foot in my arse. You complete me.
